As you start the new year, you can be certain that God wants you to do three things: grow, sow, and go in faith.
How to Grow Deeper in Intimacy with God.
The Bible tells us in Colossians 2:7
to grow our faith in God:
Col 2:7 Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.AMPC
“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness” (NLT).
God also says he wants us to sow in faith.
That means we learn to cultivate the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.
