You are accepted in the beloved

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

You are a child of God because you have been adopted into God's family, and not only does it say this was the will of God, we also know from Ephesians 1:4 that we were chosen by God before the world was created, and it says we are accepted in the beloved. You and I are part of God’s beloved, We have no merit, we are not worth anything and nothing we could possibly do would be equal to what God has done for us.

It is all about God’s love and generosity. Now we are free from the power of Satan and free from that burden of sin, it is all good news. We should never ever take the grace of God for granted and we should always be a thankful people. One other point we should also always remember, we are saved sinners. Our previous lives were sinful, and to pretend that was not the case is equal to denying the grace and love of God. If you say you had no sin, then Christ is not your saviour.

Prayer: Thank you our loving compassionate Heavenly Father for adopting us into your royal family and thank you Lord for making us new creations and forgiving all our terrible sin. We want you will to be done on earth as it is in heaven for your glory and honour. Through Jesus Christ our lord. Amen
